We drove to Nebraska for Christmas this year. Luckily, we had good weather and a nice trip. The only place that had bad roads was Cumbres Pass and it actually wasn't the worst we have ever seen it. We had to stop for 30 minutes while there was some avalanche control being done. We are pretty sure there was no real threat, but rather the guys that get to blow stuff up were bored. We didn't see a single snowball roll down after any of the blasts.

The summit of Cumbres Pass

Lindy watching "Moe Moe" and sugaring herself up for the ride with fruit snacks.
Still in awe of the horse before she would ride it.
Wearing her pretty Christmas dress at Aunt Bev and Uncle Bruce's house.

"Helping" Aunt Natasha make the bed.
Natasha gave her pink leggings for Christmas, as soon as she opened them, she stripped out of her pajamas and wore her leggings. She refused to put a shirt on! Some battles are just not worth fighting so she went without a shirt for a little while!

Sitting with Grandpa Art and her new Pillow Pet "Pete" from Aunt Natasha.
We don't know where she got the name Pete from but now all ladybugs are called Pete when she sees them!

Reading with Grandma Linda before bed on Christmas night.

On the way home Lindy got into my makeup bag at the hotel.
She used the eye liner as lip liner and blush.

We were able to visit my Grandpa Lee one final time.
Sadly, he passed on January 18th. I am so grateful we went home to see him.
