Jim, Elkslayer

Jim managed to draw an elk tag this year in a really desirable draw. It was the first year he had put in for a New Mexico tag. He had quite the hunting party that joined him! Our friend Clay, his uncle and cousins, crew members Jay and Lance and of course, Jim all went out to find elk. They thought they had one shortly after sunup on the first day of the hunt, but it was wounded by someone else who laid claim to it after Jim was kind enough to nearly be finished cleaning it! They had no luck on the second day. The third day yielded a large cow. For the first time ever, Jim didn't have to pack out at all. Lance drove his truck right up to it!
