Minnesota

We had a wonderful time in Minnesota. We flew in on Saturday and left on Wednesday. Jim's younger brother Jonny met us there. He is working on getting an advanced degree in Baltimore, MD to eventually become a ship captain. It worked out that his spring break met up with our trip. We were thrilled to introduce him to his niece. We wish his wife, Jenn, could have come too, but she teaches in northern Alaska and had already taken time off this spring to attend a family funeral. We will see her this summer, though! We also would have loved to have seen Brad, Blake, Patrick and Nicole and their families, but we can only get so many siblings together at one time! Papa Jim and Grandma Dee Ann made us feel perfectly at home. We all wish we lived closer together! It is hard to have a family flung literally from Alaska to Panama, Minnesota to California!

Uncle Jonny getting to know Lindy (and still holding her like she is made of glass!)

Napping in the kitchen on Grandma Dee Ann
Enjoying a bottle with Papa Jim

Playing on the floor with Uncle Jonny (they look so much alike...the forehead dents even match!)

Talking to Papa and Uncle Jonny about the injustice of having to go downstairs to bed while everyone else is still up.
