My dad braved a three day drive, having no bed or linens when we got here and being in the heat and humidity to help us move from our home in New Mexico. We decided that as a thank you to him for all of the miles that he drove, we would take him on a float trip down the Current River. We went on a very hot and humid day that was perfect for being in a cold, spring fed river.
Lindy helping to paddle
It was a good thing that the paddles floated!
She didn't have a huge amount of control since it was longer than she was tall!
Talking with Pa
Playing in the cold water with Daddy
Lindy filled her net with leaves and was passing them out
Playing around the raft
Hanging out with Mama having a snack
Swimming ahead of the raft
Swimming in the deep water with Daddy
Lindy is such a water baby. There was one stretch of the river where she did not want to ride in the raft. She and her Daddy swam out ahead of us for a long time! Riveritus finally hit her about a mile from the end of the float. She had swam, caught things in the net and played on the gravel bars all day. She came up to me like she was going to give me a hug. As soon as she landed on me, she was asleep.
